Simfresh is one of Australia's leading citrus packing sheds that operates out of Australia in the Sunraysia Growing Region. Led by the Simonetta family, the company is rapidly growing with a high turnover of staff, mainly casual backpackers.
Before using ATS Onboarding, their employee onboarding process was time-consuming, and all documents were manually being checked scanned and shredded. Simfresh was at the point of nearly needing to employ a dedicated HR and compliance officer. ATS Onboarding has eliminated this need and manages all new staff and their induction process.
The goal was to streamline and automate the process for onboarding new staff. Digitally collect personal details, payroll information, superannuation details, working visa details, signed contracts and letters of offer, and delivering critical company information customised to each position.
ATS Onboarding has now made the process paperless and has eliminated the need for an HR and compliance officer. Managers don't have to deal with and share paperwork from hundreds of new staff, which has created a more efficient process. Custom company documents can be created and uploaded to match the Simfresh brand.
Implementing ATS Onboarding has resulted in a paperless system that manages Simfresh's induction process, record keeping & compliance documents for all employees.
Simfresh is now saving hundreds of dollars each year in cost associated with printing and filling employee documents.
With 400 new casual employees hired each year, Simfresh has saved 25 hours per week in manual HR administration work.
Since we have switched over to the onboarding software, we now manage our entire workforce efficiently in the following ways:
1. We have stopped having to printout hundreds of "Starter packs" containing contracts, letters of offers, Induction Manuals, Fair Work Statements, etc. The folders alone save us hundreds of dollars each year.
2. We no longer need to photocopy and scan visa details, passports, VEVO checks, Superannuation forms, Tax File Declarations, etc. anymore.
3. We have moved the filing cabinets that were full of these files out of the office completely.
4. We no longer need to scan all required documents into our computer at the end of the season, nor do we need to employ anyone to scan or shred this information.
5. Using this app has removed the need to manage staff through contractors – we now employ directly, because of how simple it is to manage.
The old way of doing things is gone – and we don't miss it at all!
We were at the point of nearly needing to employ a part-time HR and compliance officer – but the way this app manages our staff, we no longer have the need. We now have a paperless system, which completely manages our Induction process, Record Keeping & Compliance aspects of the business.
